Job creation? How? Which one?

The goal of Green Goat and its ecosystem is to create business, new activities related to the circular and bio-based economy with production activities eager to promote various untapped biomasses available on the territory of L'Oriental.

Indeed, the Green Morocco Plan (Maroc Plan Vert) has developed agricultural activities which generates a lot of valuable by-products.

According to preliminary studies related to the job creation by the circular and bio-based economy, for the solid densification (production of briquettes), about 6 direct jobs are created by the mobilization of 1,000 tons of biomass for the tier 1 suppliers.

Other creations are expected at the level of users (heating, energy efficiency work) or tier 2 transformers (biobased materials).

For L'Oriental, a study conducted by The German Cooperation agency (GIZ 2011) has reported about 150,000 tons of biomass left. In the meanwhile other "biomass reservoirs" have been identified.

The potential for job creation is therefore very accurate for the existing profiles in the Region.

Gradually new activities will be developed for the production of production equipment, their maintenance but also the transport and storage of biomass.

In the creation phase, here are some examples of jobs and profiles related to these new activities.

A specific page will be developed with the positions to be filled from the creation of the company.

AEBIOM (European Biomass Association) is reporting in its 2017 report the creation of more than 490,000 jobs in Europe related to bioenergy.

The dynamic of creation is strongly linked to the implementation of a stable policy for this sector. For example, policy shifts in liquid biofuels have led to a decline in job creation. (right chart)

Production operator - mobile briquette press

Biomass production requires press operators. Operating by team of 3 people, the production of briquettes takes place by means of equipment with a strong mechanical component to maintain.

Logistic coordination

Logistics coordination is a key element in organizing the logistics supply chain.

There is no need to move equipment if the biomass is not present, in good quantity (tonnage or cubage) and in quality (moisture content).

This kind of function requires a good knowledge of the Region, the rural environment.

District heating manager & technician

Biomass is used as fuel for the production of heat. It is essential to ensure that heat is properly generated and that the natural resource of biomass is properly used for the sake of energy efficiency and budget.

biogaz operating manager

Managing the activity of a biogas plant requires skills in terms of organization and ration preparation.

"Rations" are the doses of materials loaded in the methanation containers and, if well fit, will allow to develop good biogas yield.
